Ceridian Selects Presagia Leave Software to Enhance Its Absence Management Services

Montreal, Canada, August 2, 2010 — Presagia, a developer of web-based solutions for workforce absence & disability management and Ceridian Corporation, a leading provider of managed human resource and employee benefits administration services, today announced that Ceridian will be deploying Presagia’s employee leave management software to support its leave management services. Presagia Leave is a centralized web-based system that enables organizations to manage employee leave in accordance with federal, state, provincial and organization-specific leave policies. Ceridian will implement Presagia’s SaaS (Software as a Service) solution to provide Ceridian Absence Management, a solution used by employers to outsource management of FMLA, short-term disability and employer leave policies. With Presagia Leave, Ceridian customers will benefit from Ceridian’s case management expertise and a system that provides real-time enterprise reporting and analytics.

Ceridian will manage employers’ government mandated leaves, short-term disability and other leave policies using a version of Presagia Leave that includes FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), all state rules such as CFRA (California Family Rights Act) and all provincial rules like Ontario’s Pregnancy and Parental Leave. Leave policies specific to each client are configurable and supported by the leave rules engine. This engine drives Ceridian leave managers’ workflow with automation tools that notify leave managers when a new leave request is made, alerts that identify approaching deadlines and in-conflict leaves, escalation procedures for `at risk’ leaves, and auto-routing of `next step’ tasks. The Presagia Leave system also includes `one button’ eligibility and entitlement calculations, concurrent leave tracking, and continuous, intermittent and reduced schedule leave management.
