The conference, titled “We Can All Be Charismatic Leaders,” was hosted by Edith Tiencken, Senior International Consultant of Profiles International. At the event, Tiencken outlined how charismatic leadership can be acquired basing her recommendations on research conducted on over 40,000 managers worldwide —including Chilean leaders — and published in the book “Leadership Charisma.”
Since the recent success of her event, Ms. Tiencken has many future conferences and Leadership Charisma events planned. “Our next step is to develop a program for these leaders to assist them in implementing these practices in their own organizations,” said Ms. Tiencken. “We had a lot of feedback and questions regarding `How can I use Leadership Charisma as a vehicle to develop my own business?’” To see some of her press reports see LINK.

Charisma for its own sake is good for little more than ego — but when you put it to work in the service of your business, its impact can be enormous. Focused properly, leadership charisma fosters an environment where all of your people will have a positive and energetic attitude, be emotionally and intellectually committed to their vision, and be inspired to contribute their very best efforts to the organization.

“With its Spanish heritage, many people might assume that Chileans would all be outgoing and naturally charismatic,” said Tiencken. “But as with any group of people, some personalities are strong while others are meek and humble. Just like managers in any other country, effective business leaders in Chile need to learn how to leverage charisma to get their people to perform”.

Profiles International proudly announced the publication of Leadership Charisma in January 2011, a new title on the leadership/business book market.
