Des Moines, Iowa, Sept. 8, 2011 – ARAG®, a global leader of legal solutions, has announced the addition of Dennis Healy, who will serve as Vice President of Group Sales, and the promotion of Mark Hennessey to Chief Operating Officer.
A 20-year veteran of the insurance industry, Healy brings to ARAG a proven track record of sales success, having co-led the group long-term care business of his former employer to the top market position. He will take on executive leadership for employer group sales.
“Healy’s experience in sales, strategy and relationship development for large employer groups will undoubtedly advance the ARAG group sales efforts and help us in our mission to provide all employees with legal solutions,” said David Murray, ARAG President and CEO. “We’re excited to add him to our executive team.”
Healy holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Keene State College in New Hampshire.
Hennessey replaces Murray, who became President and CEO in February. Prior to serving as COO, Hennessey was Director of Information Technology. In his new role as COO, he will oversee ARAG operations, enterprise risk management, audit and IT departments.

Hennessey holds a master’s degree in business administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa; a bachelor’s degree in CIS, also from Drake; and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He is currently a Firefighter/EMT for the Ankeny Fire Department and serves as the weight lifting commissioner for the Iowa Games.
