AthenaOnline Launches New Mobile Learning Site

Reno, NV December 17, 2012 — Award winning online learning provider AthenaOnline announced the launch of their new MyQuickCoach site for tablets and smart phones. The new web-based application is a complete redesign of Athena’s existing desktop version of the service.

“We didn’t want to simply optimize our existing site for tablet users,” said Jon Peters, AthenaOnline’s CEO. “We wanted to redesign the entire system from the ground up to streamline the process of how users come into MyQuickCoach and find relevant coaching modules.”

AthenaOnline has worked with over 150 business consultants, authors, and researchers to provide over 2,000 short video coaching modules called SmartBytes(TM) to enterprise license holders through Athena’s MyQuickCoach portal. SmartBytes cover business management topics ranging from creativity to scenario planning. The mobile application allows enterprise customers to search and access the SmartBytes on their iPads. While currently only available to users on iPads, optimized iPhone and Android versions of the application are in development.

“We released our first mobile application 5 years ago,” said Peters. “The market was too fragmented to support all of the different devices that were available and new ones seemed to be coming out monthly. So, we decided to pull the application off the market. Once the iPad became the dominant mobile device in enterprises we decided to redesign and relaunch a mobile application.”

The MyQuickCoach web app is currently available to enterprise customers with 50 users or more. It can be used on by itself or linked to the desktop version of MyQuickCoach for administration, user tracking and additional features. Users can share coaching modules and their profiles between the two systems.
