Executive Compensation Immersion Program Exceeds Expectations

July 15, 2013–Scottsdale, Ariz.– Due to increased interest, WorldatWork, a global nonprofit human resources association, is pleased to announce that the inaugural Executive Compensation Immersion Program has been expanded.

This accelerated education program sets the groundwork for participants to take on new responsibilities associated with executive compensation. The program was originally limited to 15 participants and sold out quickly, which created a growing list of participants waiting for this type of education. Due to this demand, WorldatWork is opening a second course to run simultaneously, giving an additional 15 individuals the opportunity to register. Classes begin on Aug. 22. The in-classroom portion of the program will be held in Chicago.

“We are thrilled that organizations see the value in this program,” said Sue Holloway, CCP, CECP, associate director of practice leadership at WorldatWork. “HR leaders know that there is an enormous need for talent in the executive compensation field. This program is designed to bring high-potential talent up to speed in the executive compensation arena. It’s comprehensive, effective and fast. Clearly there is a real need for this type of education program, especially as the demands on executive compensation professionals have increased over recent years.”

This intensive five-week course is a cohort program that combines in-person and online sessions. It includes follow-up quarterly conference calls for a full year that allow participants to explore hot topics, address challenges and develop solutions. Participants receive education in the executive compensation field along with lifetime support through a network of peers, subject-matter experts and thought leaders. Individuals or businesses interested in registering employee(s) for the 2013 program are encouraged to act quickly. Space is limited and the second class is expected to fill quickly.

“This program will give participants the kind of insights, experience and knowledge that would take three to five years of on-the-job training,” said Brit Wittman, CCP, CECP, director of executive compensation and corporate compensation design at Intel Corp. “And they get it all in a five-week program.”

The WorldatWork Executive Compensation Immersion Program provides comprehensive education in executive compensation programs and practices, including tax and legal issues, short- and long-term incentive design, performance management, supplemental executive benefits, proxy statements and current trends in executive compensation. Participants also learn best practices for executive rewards communications, including how to prepare for a compensation committee meeting and how to gain shareholder approval.

In 2014, Executive Compensation Immersion Program classes will be held in Atlanta in June and in Chicago in August. Additional details including information on class instructors, pricing and a quick video featuring executive compensation leaders sharing their thoughts on the program can be found on the WorldatWork website.
