HRmarketer Appoints Edward Willey Vice President of Software Engineering

Capitola, CA, November 5, 2013–Fisher Vista, LLC, owner of the HRmarketer software suite developed exclusively for the human resource and benefits marketplace, announced today that Edward Willey has been named to the newly created role of vice president of software engineering. Willey is responsible for leading the ongoing development of HRmarketer software.

HRmarketer is nearing the completion of significant enhancements to its software suite, an initiative that is being led by Willey and Fisher Vista, LLC’s founder and president, Mark Willaman.

“These are critical investments in our software and our leadership team–investments that will fuel our long-term growth and profoundly improve our clients’ ability to market themselves in the highly dynamic human resource and benefits marketplace,” said Willaman. “Having Edward join the HRmarketer team is a tremendous advantage, especially given his expertise and the scope of his background. He’s been involved in every aspect of software development during his impressive career–research and development, software design, installation, tech support, analysis and testing. You name it, Edward has done it. He’s a great strategic asset to HRmarketer and our clients.”

“I’m delighted to be part of HRmarketer and to be working closely with Mark on enhancing the software,” Willey said. “I think clients are going to be blown away by the improvements we’re making. When they conduct database searches, for instance, they’re going to get more extensive and accurate results–and the results will be nearly instantaneous. We’re also tracking many new HR and employee benefits influencers in our event analysis pages to help our clients gain a deeper understanding of the industry. We’ve also expanded the types of data we’re analyzing–a brand’s social engagement, for example–along with providing enhanced reporting features. We’re even adding hashtag analysis and a hashtag suggestion feature for those who want to share posts and articles via social sites. And we’re working hard to ensure the integrity and clarity of our data.”

Prior to joining HRmarketer, Willey held a variety of technology related roles including: senior programmer/analyst at SAIC, Inc.; manager of support services at Essential Technologies; technical support specialist for artificial intelligence and case-based reasoning applications at Inference Corporation.

“By working in these very different roles and organizations, I learned one of the most crucial lessons that any engineer or technologist can learn: what’s important is not how ‘cool’ your technology is. What’s important is how well it helps people fulfill their needs,” Willey said. “And that’s the great thing about HRmarketer software. Yes, it has the cool factor but what it really excels at is giving people the intelligence and insights they need to market their companies more effectively.”

Willey earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence from the Honors Program at the University of Delaware. He conducted undergraduate research at the University’s Psychology Department as well as the Alfred I. duPont Institute’s Natural Language Process Lab.
