This award recognizes local companies for their exceptional workplace environments, employee satisfaction, and benefits.

Top Workplaces leads the way in measuring the health of U.S. companies based upon employee opinions.To select the top workplaces, The Baltimore Sun partnered with WorkplaceDynamics and invited thousands of companies throughout the Baltimore region to take place in the nomination process. In the end, based on employee survey results, 100 companies were selected as Top Workplaces.

The WorkplaceDynamics survey asked Berkshire employees, “Why do you love your job?” to which one of them replied, “Because I love Berkshire. It challenges me intellectually and allows me to help others. I have the flexibility and support to balance work and life.”
