“Mentoring and the ‘Success’ in ‘Succession Planning'” will be presented by Insala’s mentoring subject matter expert, Judy Corner. Ms. Corner, an expert in mentoring training, will share insights from her more than 20 years of experience as a mentoring program consultant while discussing this timely topic.

According to PricewaterhouseCoopers in December 2013, while 89% of U.S. CEOs say that their organizations have active succession planning processes, 53% say those processes are only somewhat effective, and 20% say that they are not effective at all (PwC, 2013). During the webinar, Ms. Corner will discuss the necessity of enacting succession planning as a developmental strategy, and how mentoring is particularly suited to “succession development.”
“Succession planning can’t exist in a vacuum as something that takes place separately from other developmental activities and strategies,” says Ms. Corner. “Oftentimes once the succession plan is decided, no one thinks more about it. But there are two important questions after that decision is made: one, how are those individuals who are chosen as successors going to be ready to take on their new roles; and two, in what kind of timeframe will they be ready to do so?”
The webinar will allow for 40 minutes of presentation and 20 minutes of Q&A. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions.
