HealthcareSource Introduces CNOR Exam Preparation Course

Woburn, MA – September 23, 2014 – HealthcareSource(R), the leading provider of talent management solutions for the healthcare industry, has released an eLearning course to help nurses earn the prestigious CNOR certification. The ‘Prep for CNOR’ program was developed by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and is now available in the HealthcareSource eLearning LibrarySM.

‘Prep for CNOR’ is a comprehensive exam preparation program. The course reviews the latest standards and recommended practices of perioperative nursing and provides learners with effective test-taking strategies. ‘Prep for CNOR’ is self-paced and fully web-based. Learners who have successfully completed this online program have a 94% pass rate on the CNOR exam.

This exam preparation program, which offers 40 CNE hours, provides full content review and includes more than 500 test questions in the form of a pretest, practice exams, and “Check Your Understanding” questions, which appear throughout the course to ensure learners fully understand the concepts as they progress through the program. The course also provides learners with access to the current AORN Perioperative Standards and Recommended Practices publication.

“We’re pleased to offer ‘Prep for CNOR’ through our relationship with AORN,” says Michelle Leavitt, Director of eLearning Strategy at HealthcareSource. “Nursing turnover in the perioperative setting is high but this course can be a key part of an organization’s talent development and retention strategy. Organizations can use ‘Prep for CNOR’ to support nurse development while also offering CNOR exam preparation. Additionally, nurses with advanced certifications, like the CNOR certification, demonstrate high levels of competency and are an important component to the Magnet Designation program.”

‘Prep for CNOR’ joins the nearly 50 OR-specific courses in the eLearning Library and is fully integrated on customers’ learning management systems. The eLearning program is the latest addition to the eLearning Library’s exam preparation curriculum and is backed by HealthcareSource’s industry recognized service.
