HR Open Standards Consortium Announces New Individual Certificate Program to Recognize HR Technology Professionals

DENVER, CO, April 12, 2016 – The HR Open Standards Consortium announces today the launch of a brand new training initiative, the HR Open Standards Individual Certificate Program. The Individual Certificate Program recognizes individuals for their knowledge of and experience with HR Open Standards’ suite of interoperable HR-JSON and HR-XML data exchange standards. The program officially opens today and is available through the consortium’s new mobile-friendly, micro learning environment available at Training.HROpenStandards.org.

“While there are widely respected certifications available for the professional HR practitioner, there has long been an unmet need to recognize individual achievement in the HR Technology space,” said Suneel Mendiratta, President of the HR Open Standards Consortium Board of Directors. “The HR Open Standards’ Individual Certificate provides an inaugural opportunity for HR Technology professionals to be recognized for their proficiency in and experience with HR-XML and HR-JSON data exchange standards.”

Combining online video training, assessments, and hands-on implementation experience, the HR Open Standards Individual Certificate empowers HR Technology professionals to confidently propose and employ a standards-based approach to HR integration projects. HR Technology organizations utilizing consistent, standards-based deployments experience significant reduction in product time to market and reduced associated costs.

The individual certificate is awarded for mastery in specialized domains, and is currently available for Assessments, Recruiting, and Screening. Additional HR-XML and HR-JSON courses–including Timecard, Recruiting, Benefits, Competencies, Employee Performance Management, and others–are in development and will soon be available for domain specialization. Eligible applicants can apply for a single domain certificate and/or certificates in multiple domains.

The HR Open Standards Individual Certificate is available to anyone with the prerequisite standards-based implementation experience upon the successful completion of the online training courses, assessments, and application. General, Premier, and Enterprise organizational members of the consortium receive discounted training courses.
