BOSTON, MA — June 7, 2011 — The International Association for Human Resources Information Management (IHRIM), the world’s leading clearinghouse for the HRIM (Human Resource Information Management) industry, today reported a 30 percent growth at the annual HRMStrategies 2011 Conference and Technology Exposition. The conference was held May 15-18, 2011 at the Gaylord National in Washington, DC.

“We are elated at the significant growth in attendance from last year’s event,” said Lynne Mealy, CEO of IHRIM. “An exceptionally strong educational line-up, new products and vendors on the expo floor, a variety of networking opportunities coupled with a record level of media attention helped fuel the excitement for the conference. Once again, IHRIM has proven that this is a must-attend event for HR systems professionals.”

The 2011 IHRIM Conference provided a well-balance event for attendees. The expo floor unveiled a variety of new HR technology products and services tailored for organizations big and small, while the conference content review committee successfully reached a balance of sessions — fundamental versus strategic; topic focus; case studies versus lectures.

“This is a great conference with substantive content and very knowledgeable attendees from whom I learned much,” noted Lexy Martin of CedarCrestone.

“IHRIM continues to offer quality, leading edge sessions led by practitioners that can drive immediate impact,” added Jason Averbook, CEO of Knowledge Infusion. “I very much look forward to Chicago in 2012! The IHRIM Annual Conference is an event that truly brings together enterprises, vendors and the consulting community to discuss best practices and take a look into the future.”

The event also served as a stage for IHRIM to distinguish industry leaders during the opening general session. The winners of these prestigious awards are
• Jacqueline Kuhn, HRIP, President, Kuhn Consulting Group — 2011 Summit Award
• Daniel Arndt, HRIP, HRIS/Compensation Senior Manager, Imation — 2011 Ambassador Award
• John A. Hinojos, HRIP, Vice President of Consulting Services, HRchitect — 2011 Ambassador Award
• ADP — 2011 Partners Award
• Cox Enterprises — 2011 Partners Award

“We are proud to honor these thought leaders in IT and HR information management,” said Nov Omana, Board Chair of IHRIM. “Their varied and extensive contributions to our industry further demonstrate IHRIM’s commitment to provide a neutral, unbiased forum that promotes the exchange of information about HR technology and information management.”

The 2011 IHRIM Conference had a wide representation of attendees — including all levels of management from HR, HR systems and IT as well as business analysts and functional HR and Payroll staff members. “The high number of first time attendees is a testament to IHRIM’s being a critical source for education and professional development in the industry,” said Mealy. “IHRIM will benefit from their energy, enthusiasm, and ideas.”
