Alan Fine to Speak at Garden State SHRM Conference on Human Performance

(Salt Lake City, UT) October 7, 2014–Alan Fine, New York Times Bestselling author and human performance innovator, is scheduled to speak at the 23rd Annual Garden State Council Society for Human Resource Management (GSC SHRM) Conference and Expo. GSC SHRM is a professional organization supporting the Human Resources profession and the eleven SHRM chapters based in New Jersey. The conference theme is “Be an HR Super Hero” and Alan will present “You Already Know How to Be Great” on Monday, October 20th at 10:15 AM.

Alan has found the biggest obstacle (and opportunity) in performance isn’t about knowing what to do; it’s about doing what we know. And what keeps us from doing what we know is interference. During his session, Alan will introduce an “inside-out” approach to leadership, an approach that is less about adding new knowledge and more about eliminating the interference that’s getting in the way of experimenting with and using the knowledge employees already have. Attendees to Alan’s session will discover the three elements at the heart of high performance and learn a simple, repeatable process that reduces interference, creates focus and unblocks performance breakthroughs.

The Garden State Council SHRM Conference & Expo is being held October 19-21, 2014 in the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. For more information about GSC SHRM, visit www.gscshrmconference.org.
