Best Practice Institute Gives out Lifetime Achievement Awards at New York Stock Exchange

West Palm Beach FL- April 11, 2001- Best Practice Institute (BPI) will honor two individuals with the BPI Lifetime Achievement Award. Their outstanding achievements and contributions to organizations, leadership and communities will be acknowledged at the New York Stock Exchange on May 6, 2011. BPI is proud to announce that Frances Hesselbein and Warner Burke will be recognized for their lifetime of service and leadership.

Frances Hesselbein is being honored for her courage and commitment to ethical leadership, diversity and cultural transformation. Frances is founder and CEO of the Leader to Leader Institute (formerly Peter Drucker Foundation) and former CEO, Girl Scouts of America. Serving as a CEO, Founder and Humanitarian, Frances has been an iconic leader in the non-profit sector. Hesselbein is the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, member of the Enterprising Women Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement Award from Girl Scouts of America, Lifetime Achievement Award from International Leadership Association, the John F. Kennedy Memorial Fellowship, Dwight D. Eisenhower National Security Award, Temp International Leadership Award and has received twenty honorary doctoral degrees.

Warner Burke is receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to the field of Organization Development. He has continued to nurture and grow this field as an educator, author and consultant. Burke serves as the Chair of Organization and Leadership at Teacher’s College, and is winner of the Distinguished Scholar-Practitioner Award from the Academy of Management, the Lifetime Achievement Award for the Organizational Development Network and the award for Distinguished Contributions to Professional Psychology from the Society of Industrial-Organizational Psychology.

The agenda includes presentations by both recipients on their accomplishments. Frances Hesselbein will speak on ethical leadership and cultural transformation and Warner Burke will present his Burke-Litwin and Organizational Development model for formulating programs and practices within talent management.

The group is being hosted at the New York Stock Exchange by Christine Tricoli, Vice President of Talent Management of NYSE Euronext and Senior Executive Board member.
