SmartSearch® Version 15 increases job posting integrations to major job boards and social networks

OCEANSIDE, CA May 25, 2011 — Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. (APS), the makers of SmartSearch®, a recruiting software solution, added more job posting power to its new Version 15 release. This includes full integration with CareerBuilder’s Sologig niche site to help employers and staffing agencies reach a target audience of experienced consultants, contractors, contract-to-hire, per diems, and other freelance professionals. SmartSearch® users with a Sologig subscription can now post jobs from within the application, as well as take advantage of fully integrated search capabilities that allows easy review and import of selected resumes into the customer’s database.

SmartSearch® Version 15 also added integration with TweetMyJOBS.com, an innovative social media company that forwards job postings as tweets to thousands of candidates who have signed up with this free service. Candidates indicate the region and type of positions they are interested in, and are automatically set to “follow” the appropriate twitter accounts. In addition, SmartSearch® social media integrations allow posting jobs directly to the users’ choice of Twitter accounts, Facebook pages, LinkedIn profile update or paid job board, plus over 345 sites via @addthis, a free way to boost traffic back to your site by making it easier to share content across social networks.

“As with all of our Version upgrades and product enhancements, the new job posting and social media integrations are a direct result of suggestions from our clients,” said LJ Morris, CTO of APS. “We do not charge extra for the integration, as long as the customer has a subscription to a paid job board, or free accounts with the available social media and job posting options.”

SmartSearch® Version 15 builds on existing capabilities to dynamically post jobs to a variety of internal and external job boards. The system is integrated with major boards such as Monster, CareerBuilder, DICE, as well as Jobing.com and other regional sites, plus several niche sites including NetTemps, ClearanceJobs.com, ComputerJobs.com, Talent Zoo, Rigzone.com, the Society of Women Engineers, and Monster Diversity. In addition to eliminating the laborious process of posting and removing jobs, SmartSearch® links job listings to the customers’ website to automatically captures the source of candidates who apply online.

For clients looking to reach a wider audience, SmartSearch features the ability to index job postings on meta-search sites SimplyHired and Indeed.com at no charge, and users have the option of upgrading to Indeed’s sponsored job listing for a nominal cost. The system also integrates with a number of job posting distribution and global sourcing services including SmartPost, eQuest, DataFrenzy and Broadbean.

Designed to seamlessly integrate with existing systems and applications for managing all employment-related information, SmartSearch® shares data via XML or web services to export/import information and facilitate exchange of data. With advanced API capabilities, SmartSearch® Version 15 adds more power to share data between external job boards, social networks and other sourcing sites. SmartSearch® is also one of few new applicant tracking systems that supports both PC and MAC platforms, and that’s flexible enough to serve corporate employers in public, private and non-profit sectors, as well as executive search firms and staffing agencies.
