OCEANSIDE, CA November 8, 2012 — Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. (APS), the maker of SmartSearch® recruiting business software announces fourth quarter updates to its latest Version 16.
Building on the S.M.A.R.T. (Social Media and Recruiting Toolkit), fourth quarter updates add the ability to schedule tweets, Facebook and LinkedIn posts, and track contacts who have updated their status to more quickly identify and respond to new opportunities to connect. This is in addition to v16 features such as search tools that reach across social networks to find people, post jobs, view and update activity on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, easily import candidates and contacts to the SmartSearch® database either individually or in bulk.
The text messaging capabilities in SmartSearch® are further enhanced in partnership with TextHub.com to better support mobile recruiting. A new mobile-friendly career center for candidates is now available, and includes an opt-in feature for text-messaging candidates. In tandem with the v16 release, SmartSearch® rolled out updates to its built-in Mobile Access module with the addition of two new Apps for Android and iPhone. The mobile Apps feature an updated interface and new capabilities such ability to view documents, match candidates to jobs, and additional access to Work-In-Progress dashboard items.
Other updates include a new “Apply with Indeed” feature so candidates can use their Indeed.com resume to apply for a job posting. It is very similar to the existing “shared apply” via Monster or CareerBuilder and the “Apply with LinkedIn” functionality that makes it easier for candidates to apply online.
SmartSearch® also adds a new Customer Support Center to its Help section that will enable users to better track the status of issues, upload documents regarding an issues, better categorize and prioritize support requests for changes, customization, and add suggestions. Several other minor enhancements to SmartSearch® Version 16, which was released in May of 2012, were added based on client feedback and suggestions such as upgrades to existing integrations to internal systems such as email, and external integrations with job boards, background checking and pre-employment assessment testing vendor partners to further streamline workflow.
