2014 iTalent Competition November in Edinburgh will Reward Innovation in HR Technology

23rd September 2014 – the 2014 iTalent competition, launched in May by the HRO Today Forum Europe, will be held on November 12th during the Forum event in Edinburgh.

Designed to reward innovative HR technology companies that are leading the way in helping businesses recruit and retain employees, is open to any technology company operating within the HR sector, including payroll, recruitment, talent management and learning, among others. Start-ups, new businesses and new offerings from established companies are all equally welcome, as long as they offer services in Europe, or plan to in the very near future.

Entries to the competition are being accepted until Tuesday 30th September. A shortlist of 10 will be announced in early October, with the top five entries competing in the iTalent competition at the HRO Today Forum Europe on Wednesday 12th November. Each of these shortlisted entries will give a timed, seven-minute HR innovation pitch before the event audience and a judging panel of HR experts and practitioners, industry analysts, and technology investors. Each iTalent pitch will be assessed by the judges, and both they and the audience will vote to select the overall winner, who will be announced at the event. They will receive consultations with the judging panel of experts and investors, one-to-one meetings with HR executives attending the HRO Today Forum, as well as being profiled in HRO Today magazine.

Last year’s winner was Pando by Aspen Advisors. Founder Andrew Gadomski said: “Thanks to HRO Today Forum, the panel of judges, and the in-person and online audiences for recognizing Aspen Advisors and Pando. Pando was designed to help business leaders make better business decisions by combining data and evidence from disparate systems. Many HRO providers access dozens or hundreds of HR systems, and being recognized as a significant innovator by those organizations validates quickly our business value.”

This year’s event in Edinburgh will bring together over 250 senior HR practitioners during 2.5 days to discuss and debate the most pressing HR issues, HR innovation and how to better link HR performance to business outcomes. Some key speakers include Nita Clarke, IPA Director; Amy Wilson, VP, HCM Product Strategy, Workday; Liz Rennie, Research Director, NelsonHall; Eammon Eaton, Head of Learning & Engagement, Bank of Ireland; and, Martyn Phillips, former CEO of B&Q and Director/Founder at Leading Edge. Sponsors include Randstad Sourceright, Workday, Allegis Global Solutions, WilsonHCG, AdvantagexPO, Accenture, Agile 1, Alexander Mann Solutions, Cielo, and PeopleScout.
