With a workforce of approximately 11,000 employees worldwide, the new Global Opportunities career portal is one more component in Parsons Brinckerhoff’s ongoing human capital initiatives to foster career advancement for its employees, retain talent, and promote global mobility and professional growth within the organization. PB is committed to empowering its employees to succeed, and is constantly seeking top professionals to joins its diverse business. The Global Opportunities career center, also known as GO!, is available to all Parsons Brinckerhoff employees through links on the company intranet. The site showcases key projects and job opportunities, success stories from employees, and a simplified employment application for job seekers.

The career center features an interactive map and search engine, banner “crawl” to announce newly-added jobs, details of key projects, and an array of tools for candidates to express interest in future opportunities in a desired country, upcoming project, or career path. “We wanted to make sure that our employees knew they could change jobs or move to another country without changing companies,” explained Toby Duffell, Manager of Global Mobility at Parsons Brinckerhoff. “SmartSearch had proven to be an effective tool for recruiting new employees, and instrumental in the development of our job site. They provided expertise and invaluable assistance in bringing the Global Opportunities site online in a fully integrated solution. Now, with just a few clicks, our recruiters can post jobs to either the external web site or promote the job internally, or both.”

Also included on the GO! career center are employee referral capture tools, such as the ability to email a job to a friend or share a job on Facebook, along with details on the company’s referral bonus incentives. APS continues to work with Parsons Brinckerhoff on the next step, and is currently developing another component to add to the GO! career center to enable hiring managers to search internal candidates within the SmartSearch recruiting database.
