Businessolver prepares for intentional rapid growth

WEST DES MOINES, IA – Businessolver, an Iowa-based leading benefits technology partner, is experiencing mid-year growth that necessitates an aggressive recruiting strategy for skilled workers in the Des Moines Metro area balanced with an intentional retention strategy to retain top talent.

Aggressive growth strategy
Businessolver has experienced a consistent 30% growth pattern for the past nine years, thanks to the expansion of their proprietary benefits technology, Benefitsolver(R), and their employment of top-notch talent. The company currently employs 380 employees and is looking to grow to 500 employees in their West Des Moines office by the end of 2015; and is projected to expand to approximately 1,000 employees by the end of 2016.

“We’ll be bulking our Denver location as well to around 30 employees over the next 6 months just as planned,” said Businessolver President & CEO Jon Shanahan. “The additional staff ensures even broader coverage for our western US and Canadian clients.”

The national expansion in Denver will allow the company to better support a strong presence in the western part of the United States and Canada. The additional Denver operational staff will position the company for ease of multilingual client contact and better align hours of support for clients located in the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones. Additionally, the expansion represents an ongoing commitment to redundancy in operations to ensure consistent, uninterrupted support to clients, employees and their dependents.

The company’s best investment: its employees
Businessolver currently employs nearly 200 Millennial workers, which is over half of their total workforce. “We’re bucking the trend of Millennial workers jumping ship during their ‘mid-life crisis,'” said Shanahan. “Our young workforce is staying put and advancing through the company because we recognize the importance of investing in their professional growth.”

Businessolver provides professional enrichment classes through their dedicated Employee Engagement team of trainers and coaches. They also have a formal Professional Development Program, in which recent college grads rotate through various jobs in the organization before they settle on the job that’s best suited for their skillset.

“Businessolver Employee Engagement is 110% about the right people, at the right time, in the right seats. Our intentional approach to growth and culture is focused on creating a great place, for great people, to do great work,” said Molly Bower, Assistant Vice President of Employee Engagement.

As part of the expansion of operations, Businessolver will be hiring for opportunities inclusive of customer service representatives, processing and client support and leadership positions over the next several months.
