Chantel Sheaks of Buck Consultants Among Top 25 Consultants Selected by Consulting Magazine

NEW YORK: June 29, 2010 – Chantel Sheaks, a principal based in Buck Consultants’ Washington, D.C., office, has been named to Consulting magazine’s Top 25 Consultants for 2010.

Sheaks was selected for excellence in client service. The annual list of top consultants appears in the magazine’s May/June 2010 issue.

“The consulting success stories, of course, are inspiring every year,” said Consulting Editor-in-Chief Joseph Kornik. “But in 2010, many of them revolved around the ‘trusted advisor’ concept a bit more than previous years. Crisis brings out the best in consultants, and we had plenty to go around lately. While client budgets were strapped, their need for advisory work was greater than ever.”

In recognizing Sheaks, the magazine highlights the value she brings to both clients and colleagues with her analyses of public policy issues. These include the recent health care reform legislation as well as 401(k) policy, executive compensation, and pension funding relief.

“This selection shows how important knowledge-based resources and subject matter expertise are to our clients, and the employee benefits community,” said Sheaks. “Business decisions are being made quicker but the decision makers must be able to rely on sound advice.”

Sheaks was honored at Consulting magazine’s Top 25 Awards Dinner held June 17 in New York City.

“A hallmark of our organization is the quality of our consultants,” said Manoj Sharma, chief operating officer of Buck Consultants. “As Buck’s most recent Top 25 Consultant selection, Chantel exemplifies our total dedication to client service.”
