IMAC Brings Essential Workplace Violence Education to Society for Human Resource Management Conference

CLEVELAND — June 16, 2011 – Ohio-based International Management Assistance Corporation (IMAC) will spread knowledge and offer free education on labor dispute planning, nonviolent confrontation management and workplace violence at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Conference and Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada. The HR conference, which reaches the largest and most influential audience of HR professionals in North America, takes place June 26-29, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

IMAC will discuss the importance of advanced labor dispute planning and workplace violence management as well as showcasing its online training academy. Toward this end, IMAC will offer their educational resources to SHRM attendees through three promotional offers on the SHRM exhibit floor at booth 1117. Attendants will be able to sign up for a free online course on nonviolent confrontation management, obtain a free copy of a labor dispute planning guide and receive a free workplace violence guide, as well. This complimentary education underscores the company’s ongoing thought leadership in the security and planning world — and signals the increasing importance of these topics for the HR community.

“Today, if an HR manager or security director does not act promptly on workplace violence, he or she could be liable,” said Peter Martin, IMAC president. “As security leaders and good corporate citizens, we want to spread our knowledge throughout the SHRM membership about the importance of planning and education in this increasingly litigious environment.”

For those who cannot attend the conference, IMAC is also offering its free resources online for all SHRM members for a limited time. Visit IMAC’s SHRM Registration Page to sign up for any or all of these valuable free offers.
