TROY, Mich. (October 1, 2012) — Craig Chunchick, senior manager, Safety, Health and Environmental, for Kelly Services, has been named a Rising Star of Safety” by the National Safety Council (NSC). Currently in its third consecutive year, the NSC Rising Stars of Safety program honors individuals for their commitment to safety, influence on safety culture, promotion of continuous workplace safety improvement and creation of safety initiatives producing measurable outcomes.
The 44 winners, from around the world, will be recognized at the NSC Congress and Expo in Orlando, October 20-25.
Mr. Chunchick was selected from more than 160 nominees in the NSC’s “40 under 40” category, for his work with one of Kelly’s top strategic client who was experiencing higher than average injury rates and associated costs. By engaging the client’s key stakeholders and Environmental, Health and Safety manager to analyze the customer’s operations, a corrective action plan was developed resulting in a standard joint process for contingent employees accountwide. All winners are featured in the October issue of Safety+Health magazine.
