New Whitepaper Looks at Impact of Behavioral Style on Strengths Based Leadership Model

Centennial, Colo.— April 28, 2011 — The TRACOM Group has released a new whitepaper on how its SOCIAL STYLE model supports the findings of the Gallup® organization’s Strengths Based Leadership model.

This whitepaper, “SOCIAL STYLE and Strengths Based Leadership,” is the latest in TRACOM’s SOCIAL STYLE Connections series. These free, downloadable whitepapers discuss popular workplace effectiveness programs and how the behavioral preferences and emotional intelligence (EQ) concepts of SOCIAL STYLE enhance their impact.

The Strengths Based model has been developed and refined over the years by the Gallup® organization. Through statistical analysis, Gallup recently discovered four leadership dimensions within this framework: Executing, Influencing, Relationship Building, and Strategic Thinking. TRACOM’s whitepaper summarizes the Strengths Based model, how its leadership dimensions parallel the four SOCIAL STYLEs, and how the SOCIAL STYLE model contributes to its effectiveness.

“Strengths based leadership is about making the most of your natural strengths and also about awareness of your own limitations,” said Dr. Casey Mulqueen, TRACOM’s Director of Research and Product Development. “The SOCIAL STYLE model enables the level of awareness leaders need to work more effectively with their followers and peers.”

Originally developed in the 1960s, SOCIAL STYLE is the world’s most-effective interpersonal skills model. TRACOM’s SOCIAL STYLE and Versatility profiles and programs directly develop a person’s emotional intelligence (EQ) capabilities and teach how to put those skills to use in a variety of workplace settings and job functions.
