Profiles International 3rd annual workforce productivity study examines Southern California organizations

Broadcom, Gen-Probe Incorporated and Life Technologies Corporation Rank “Best in Class” in 2011 America’s Most Productive Companies Report.

(Los Angeles, July, 2011) – Profiles International announces the 2011 America’s Most Productive Companies (AMPC) Report. The companies named have achieved the top productivity levels in their industries and sub-industries. This is the 3rd consecutive year this report has been released.

The 2011 research is the most comprehensive study of human capital productivity of its kind.

Organizations located in California were dominant throughout the report with over 45 companies named as most productive in the country.

“This study is a substantial tool for companies nationwide. The Southern California AMPC are truly commendable companies that deserve recognition for their achievements,” says Karen Harty, VP Enterprise Solutions of Profiles International.

The AMPC study focuses specifically on labor productivity, which is defined as the revenue produced per full-time employee. To determine which companies were the most productive, the Profiles Research Institute analyzed data from almost 21 million people in over 742 companies, 17 industries and 153 sub-industries.

A series of comprehensive studies were conducted on each company listed in the AMPC study, to identify the “best practices” exhibited by each organization.
