Renowned U.S. Personality Psychologist to Speak on Employee Engagement at the World Forum on Human Resources

Dr. Robert Hogan, an American psychologist known for his innovations in personality assessment, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness, will travel to Monterrey, Mexico March 11-12, 2010 to offer his expertise on employee engagement at the World Forum on Human Resources.

During Dr. Hogan’s visit, he will present alongside fellow CEOs, presidents, talent and organizational directors, and HR vice presidents. In his presentation, Dr. Hogan will define engagement, put it in the proper conceptual context, evaluate its ROI potential, and encourage organizations to pay close attention.

He will discuss how managerial behavior directly affects employee engagement. Dr. Hogan will also outline the personality factors that negatively influence engagement. According to Dr. Hogan, when engagement is high, positive business results follow. When engagement is low, negative business results follow.

“The link between managerial behavior and business results is mediated by staff engagement,” says Hogan. “Effective leaders establish employee engagement by setting clear expectations, communicating effectively, making good decisions, managing priorities, and creating a positive work environment.”
