Senator Tom Daschle to Provide Closing Remarks at HRO Today Forum

EDISON, New Jersey—February 27, 2012—Former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle will provide closing remarks at the sixth annual HRO Today Forum from April 30 to May 2 in Washington, D.C. The Forum is produced by SharedXpertise, the publisher of HRO Today magazine and producer of popular HR outsourcing and HR technology events.

The HRO Today Forum provides a uniquely collaborative environment for an exclusive audience of HR, recruitment, and technology executives and government representatives to discuss the future of HR. Attendees will work with peers and policy-makers to tackle some of society’s thorniest workforce issues. The Forum’s second day will feature an afternoon Workforce Congress with a focus on job growth and the competitive workforce.

The Forum is pleased to include Senator Tom Daschle on its roster of influencers and experts. One of the most influential men in Washington today, Senator Daschle is a former senator with a lifelong passion for and commitment to public service. As Senate majority and minority leader from 1994-2005, he cultivated a legacy as a dynamic party leader and a bipartisan consensus builder. Daschle is one of the longest-serving senate democratic leaders in history and the only one to serve twice as both majority and minority leader. The architect of President Obama’s healthcare plan, he is an outspoken advocate for reform, and a well-connected voice between the healthcare industry and Washington policy-makers. Senator Daschle will discuss how the upcoming election will impact the next evolution of the healthcare reform debate and the implications for HR executives.

With three decades of political service, Daschle is an in-demand speaker and offers expertise on policy analysis and trends. Senator Daschle is actively involved in the Bipartisan Policy Center, with fellow Senators Howard Baker, Bob Dole, and George Mitchell, and in both the public and private sector remains dedicated to finding common ground between conservatives and liberals on the issues that impact everyone.

“At this time when job creation and workforce policy are critical national issues, we’re pleased to have Senator Daschle participating in the Forum,” said Richard Crespin, president of SharedXpertise and chairman of the HRO Today Forum. “The senator brings a depth of policy experience that we look forward to learning from.”
