Auckland, New Zealand August 19 2010 — Award-winning performance management software vendor Sonar6 has expanded its US presence and established a permanent office in Sydney, Australia.
Initially based in Santa Clara, Sonar6 moved its US office to San Francisco in 2009, and the growth of the US-based support team over the past months has prompted the move to new premises in Sausalito.
Sonar6 Chief Operating Officer Pete Weaver says the move demonstrates the huge growth of Sonar6 in North America over the past year. “Sonar6 now has more customers in the USA than in any other country, and our US-based team has grown to match that demand; we’ve had to relocate to accommodate everyone.”
As part of Sonar6’s international expansion, the company has also opened its first office in Australia.
Sales Executive Peter Romeyn will head up the new Sydney office, working closely with Sonar6’s current Australian customers as well as providing a local point of contact for the Australian market.
Sonar6 GM Sales and Marketing Mike Carden says establishing an Australian office means the company will be able to build closer relationships with and respond more quickly to its Australian customers. “While we’ve had great success building business in Australia from our NZ office, Sonar6 has grown to the point where it makes more sense to establish a permanent office in Sydney. Having a full-time presence in Australia will allow us to be more responsive to that market and to spend more time with our local clients.”
