DETAILS:
The SIOP 26th annual conference will gather thousands of the country’s top industrial-organizational psychologists to discuss current issues and emerging trends in the workplace. During the three-day conference program, experts from pan, a TALX company, will offer their expertise to help attendees create value within their organizations by identifying top performers and removing costs from the recruiting and hiring process.

Friday’s conference symposium, “Leading Horses to Water,” will present compelling client change cases and detail the key actions necessary for effective strategy execution. Managing director of Business Development at pan, Gerald Groe, Ph.D. will co-present with other highly experienced change agents across the industry, and focus on the use of various assessment tools to help facilitate organizational change within fast-paced and complex business environments. This symposium is one of several SIOP sessions where attendees can earn 1.5 SHRM Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) strategic continuing education credits.

On Saturday, Jocelyn Courtney-Hays, talent measurement consultant for pan, joins a panel discussion that will focus on improving and expanding the most commonly used assessment validation criteria — supervisor ratings of performance. During “Variety is the Spice of Validation,” attendees will hear criterion issues as seen through the practitioner lens and learn which research findings and practical considerations inform the gauges used to demonstrate assessment validity and utility.

“Buyers and Vendors Discuss RFPs in Human Capital Consulting” features a panel of industrial-organizational psychologists with significant experience in both buyer and vendor roles, including pan chief science officer, Reid Klion, Ph.D. The discussion, which also takes place on Saturday, will educate attendees on the request for proposal (RFP) process and share insights and alternate perspectives on how the process might be improved.

Additional resources from pan will also be available during conference exhibit hours to answer questions about their talent management solutions and portfolio of more than 250 assessment tools that span categories of intelligence, personality, integrity, skills and more.
