Will present a session at the 2012 HR Florida Conference & Expo titled “Automating I-9 Processes: Best Practices for Ensuring Compliance.”

WHERE:
2012 HR Florida Conference & Expo
Rosen Shingle Creek
9939 Universal Blvd
Orlando, Fla.

DETAILS:
Employers are required to complete Form I-9 for each employee they hire, ensuring that those individuals are verified as being eligible to work in the U.S. However, as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has reported a five-fold increase in audits over the last three years and more than $9 million in fines for I-9 violations, it is more important than ever for employers to achieve full compliance with a constantly changing regulatory landscape.

During this session, Gordon Middleton, legal compliance specialist for TALX, will discuss the paperless I-9 options available to employers, and detail how these measures can help ensure compliance with often-changing I-9 requirements. He will also share I-9 best practices, explore federal E-Verify processes and address the IMAGE program.

Attendees will return to their organizations with a greater understanding of the most current regulations and updates concerning I-9 and E-Verify; the ability to identify the electronic I-9 filing and verification options available and the benefits of going paperless; and the information needed to develop a strategy for streamlining their processes and achieving full I-9 compliance.

Managers, executives and HR personnel attending the 2012 HR Florida Conference who wish to learn more about how paperless options can improve I-9 compliance are encouraged to attend this session.
