To determine the winners, Veracode analyzed all applications scanned over the last three years from 600 small and mid-sized business customers and calculated the flaw density of each application, including those built in Java, .Net, C, and C++.
This is the first year Veracode has presented the Secure Development Award, which honors their small and mid-sized customers with the highest security quality applications. Wellness & Prevention, Inc., along with three other companies, had the fewest flaws per megabyte of code out of over 18,000 total applications scanned.
