WorldatWork Public Statement on White House Forum on Flexibility

March 31, 2010 — Washington, D.C. — The Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP) at WorldatWork applauds the White House for hosting a Forum on Workplace Flexibility (March 31). Integral to the WorldatWork Total Rewards model, work-life and workplace flexibility are important initiatives for attracting and retaining employees.

“Workplace flexibility is the art, the science, and the management practice of optimizing job autonomy for everybody in the workplace,” said Kathie Lingle, executive director for AWLP. “We recognize and respect the efforts of all the work-life leaders who have worked tirelessly in raising awareness among employers about the value of work-life effectiveness as a business imperative.”
