WorldatWorks Alliance for Work-Life Progress Announces 2011 Work-Life Innovative Excellence Award Recipients

April 7, 2011 — Washington — WorldatWork’s Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP) recently announced the recipients of its 2011 Work-Life Innovative Excellence Award. Established in 1996, the Work-Life Innovative Excellence Award is the highest honor bestowed by AWLP, to recognize organizations that have successfully aligned work-life initiatives with business objectives.

The awards will be given at a ceremony to be held May 24 during the annual WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference and Exhibition (San Diego Convention Center).

This year’s honorees are: Deloitte LLP, National Security Agency and Ryan, Inc.

Deloitte LLP — Mass Career Customization® (MCC)
Deloitte brings commitment, passion and demonstrated results to provide today’s diverse workforce with a wide range of options for career success. By replacing the one-size-fits-all corporate ladder with the corporate latticeTM, Deloitte crafted a flexible new model for career development called Mass Career Customization®. MCC facilitates a scalable way for all to dial up, down, diagonally or sideways at varying career-life stages that works for both the individual and the organization.

National Security Agency — Nursing Mothers Program
The National Security Agency has long been a leader in supporting nursing mothers in the workplace. Since its inception in the 1980s, the Nursing Mothers Program has grown to over 20 rooms, supporting more than 150 women each day. The program enables mothers to be productive on the job while continuing to breastfeed their children, benefitting employer, employees, and families.

Ryan LLC — myRyan
At Ryan LLC, employees thrive in a guilt-free work environment that measures results achieved, not hours worked. Employees work where and when they are most efficient and effective, with no defined work schedules or locations. They collaborate with and support each other, and everyone has the freedom to achieve work-life success, in exchange for accepting the responsibility and accountability for producing results.
