InterviewStream Continues to Rule Higher Education Market Around the Globe and Becomes Fluent in Multiple Languages

BETHLEHEM, PA / October 9, 2012 — Continuing its record-setting momentum in the college and university market, InterviewStream‘s video interview technology has been selected by DeVry, Penn State, and George Washington universities to assist students at over 125 campus locations.

Students at all three universities will use InterviewStream’s practice video interview platform to hone and perfect their interview skills. The technology will be deployed at 93 locations within the DeVry system, over 20 Penn State campuses, and all nine of George Washington’s campuses. The total number of campuses that use InterviewStream is well over 500, aided by recent arrivals such as the Harvard School of Education, the University of Pittsburgh, Brown University, Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School, IAE Business School, Singapore Management University and others.

The news bolsters InterviewStream’s towering presence in the U.S. campus marketplace and worldwide. During the summer over 10 universities in Australia, Argentina, Canada, China Korea, New Zealand, and Singapore chose the company’s proprietary video interviewing solutions for use at student career centers. InterviewStream continues its global initiatives and has translated its application for several Enterprise clients to include French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, and Dutch.

“We’re continuing to build on the incredible momentum we’ve experienced with campuses worldwide,” says Randy Bitting, founder and CEO of InterviewStream. “We see a significant cross-over between our campus platform and our Enterprise clients such as IBM, AT&T, Sodexo, Bausch & Lomb, SoloCup and Viacom. Students have a competitive edge in video interviews with these clients because they’re familiar with the technology and that comfort level results in a confident interview.”

Illustrating his point is the new InterviewHub at Australian National University, the world’s first university-based simulation suite where students can practice job interviews in a corporate environment. Using InterviewStream video technology, students can choose questions, record and review answers, and send them to counselors, lecturers, friends and family for advice and feedback.

The importance of video interviewing is evidenced by early data for the NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers) Job Outlook 2013 survey. Employers are responding that they expect to increase hiring by 12.2 percent; only eight percent say they will decrease college hiring, the smallest percentage since 2007.

“George Washington University is committed to providing career resources that prepare our students for a lifetime of productive and engaged citizenship, and are pleased to integrate InterviewStream into our portfolio of online technologies,” said Aaron DeNu, manager of technology and outreach for George Washington University.

In addition to the new campuses, InterviewStream is also used by 21 out of the top 25 MBA programs nationwide.
