Arbita Acquires Blue Wave Recruiting

Minneapolis, MN — June 21, 2010 — Arbita, a leader in recruitment marketing and sourcing solutions, today announced its intention to acquire Blue Wave Recruiting, a key player in recruiting, staffing management and sourcing services.

Terms of the acquisition agreement were not disclosed. In conjunction with the announcement, Steve Rath, former Blue Wave CEO, joined Arbita as vice president of staffing programs.

“Steve’s expertise and Blue Wave’s footprint in contract sourcing will augment Arbita’s ability to deliver high-value sourcing solutions for clients and partners,” said Arbita CEO and Founder Don Ramer. “Extending our lines of business through this acquisition empowers us to provide deeper tactical and operating support to customers who have adopted our strategic recommendations.”

Rath and Blue Wave Recruiting bring to Arbita more than 20 years of expertise in:

• Recruiting and sourcing strategy and optimization
• Full life-cycle recruiting and sourcing programs
• Talent pipeline development
• Building talent communities
• Social media solutions

“I’m enthusiastic about joining the Arbita team,” Rath said. “The firm’s thought leadership position in recruitment marketing and sourcing makes it a great home for the company I’ve built. I’m confident this combination will make a meaningful difference for everyone we touch in our work together.”

“Arbita has the technology, expertise and culture to help me provide the best solutions for my clients,” Rath added.

Steven W. Helmholz, founder of En Garde Talent Advisory Services, relied on Rath and Blue Wave to help create a new Web 2.0 sourcing engine to support a national direct hire line of business.

“Steve provided candidates of unsurpassed quality through both passive and active talent supply channels, from which several placements were made,” Helmholz said. “His access to talent networks, innovative tools, and disciplined approach to customer service has made him a trusted advisor with whom I would gladly work with again in a New York minute!”

As Arbita’s vice president of staffing programs, Rath will manage Arbita’s contract sourcing practice and continue building his vision by establishing a Sourcing Center of Excellence under the Arbita brand.
