May 6, 2011 — New York, NY — Ashley Fina, president of Michael C. Fina, will take the stage today at the 2011 Global Summit of Women in Istanbul, Turkey at the Grand Cehavir Hotel as a speaker in the Youth Forum entitled Leading Change in the 21st Century Marketplace. The Summit is approaching its 21st year in convening women leaders in business, government and civil societies for exchanges of strategies and solutions in advancing women’s economic opportunities worldwide. The Youth Forum is designed for young people attending the Summit, as well as both male and female business students from area universities. The Forum’s goal is to feature young achievers like Ashley from whom attendees can learn lessons in career-building that will expand their horizons. Ashley will speak on a range of topics such as how the internet is transforming the business world, growing areas of business that students should explore, the
importance of mentorship and how she handles work-life balance as a young businesswoman. The speech will be simultaneously translated into Turkish and French.

“Women have so many opportunities globally in today’s fast changing business world,” said Ashley, “and I think it is extremely helpful to convene and discuss the challenges and solutions, as well as ideas and inspirations. My grandmother Rose Fina was an entrepreneur over 75 years ago when it was unheard of for a woman to be leading a business, and I am inspired by her every day.”

Michael C. Fina was re-certified last month as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization (WPEO), a regional affiliate of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), and Ashley has also recently spoken at JP Morgan Chase as part of their “Amazing Women in Business” series.
